ANH VO
A CHAIR
USC Fall 2017
Scott Mitchele's Studio
Furniture course gave me the opportunity to learn welding, bending, cutting, painting and handle some types of materials, such as steel rods, wood, and foam.
The mechanism of the chair is designed simple and effective. Two bending steel rods are used for the front and rear legs. The front legs connect to the backrest, forming a balanced frame of force distribution. The back legs connect to the seat backrest, which helps keep the seat firmly on the frame without the use of any type of fasteners. The seat is carefully shaped according to ergonomic dimensions, to bring the most comfortable and safe feeling for the user.
Seat is mounted on the frame without screws or carved grooves
